Dear Members, I would encourage each and every one of you to go to the
Factasy Forum and check out the previous battleground that has now died
down to nothing. The old smokescreen gang just ends up killing whatever
message board they go to in the end. After the factasy forum
innapropriately banned Jay Longley almost nothing is being said in
regards to Bloody Bill Anderson or anything related to that.

LOL!

Colin, The factasy forum is just the latest casualty of the
smokescreen gang. They poison most discussion groups that allow them
to post. At least in my opinion this has been the case.

Of course, Raymond Defreece is a longtime member of the handful of
libelous snipers, the Smokescreen Gang, who use a variety of alias to
try to fool the American public as to who they really are. Sewer
rats do their best work in the dark.

Too bad Anne will not know what hit her forum until it crumbles also.
The gang's backbiting goes nowhere in their private group. No Fun.

For the first time in months, I went to the Smokescreen Gang's Yahoo
group homepage to see how active they have been. Ha! I'll let you see
for yourselves how few messages this slanderous group has posted this
month by visiting:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Jesse_James_Outlaws_Renegades/

I guess since they were exposed to the world for violating hate crime
laws, they decided to shut up for the time being. Smiley Maybe since Gay
Mathis has taken control of factasy forum, they are using that site for
their home base.

Ann,
Thank you.  They have been spamming the Civil War boards with their nonsense for some time now, and have been banned by many ot them.  Why that group persists in defending an old man's story is a mystery to me.  A mountain of well-documented evidence has proven his story to be false.

Various members of that group also claim that Jesse James, Billy the Kid and John Wilkes Booth all faked their deaths.  No undocumented tale, no matter how outrageous, is to ridiculous for them to believe.  A few examples:  One member insists that the Younger brothers (Cole, Jim & Bob) didn't serve their prison sentences, but had stand-ins.  She also swears by a book that claims that Jesse James killed John Wilkes Booth with poison in the early 20th century.  Another claims that Jesse & Frank James married two Sioux women (sisters) in 1869, and fathered children by them.  She says she is Jesse's g-g-granddaughter.

Yes, as Jay's close friend Colin said, there has been little posted about Anderson on Factasy since Jay was banned.  The reason is that the guerrilla warfare on the Mo-Kan border has been pretty well documented and requires little debate.  The only reason for the recent activity on the subject here was the posting of utter nonsense, which required the rebuttal of responsible historians.

I belong to several groups that the smokescreen gang invaded and were finally banned from.
Bet Gayla would be very surprised to see that, at least for the ones I belonged to, are all running along just as they did before being spammed by thatr group. And not one has been poisoned. Usually the offending topics are quickly pushed past the bottom of the long lists of different topics.
Haven't seen anyone Delete the topic, but are usually left in place to show how strongly some myths are hard to eliminate, even after very solid proof is given to disprove them.

I assume that by your reference to the smokescreen gang you mean the Bloody Bill Anderson Mystery bunch.  If I may offer a clarification -- the members (particularly Jay and his "Mini-Me" Colin) of the BBAM group are fond of referring to the historians who refute their bogus claims as the "Smokescreen Gang."  This is a misnomer, as it is the BBAM bunch that attempts to obscure the facts by denying the legitimacy of documentation (census records, tax records, marriage records, etc.) that refutes their claims, and going so far as to post downright lies to support their claims.  The sources quoted by Jay to support the imposter, Wm. C. Anderson's, fairy tale have included novels and a Disney movie.

Sorry, was in too much of a hurry, reached the point where I only skimmed thru their posts, since they merit very little thought. And you are correct about the BBAM is really the Smokescreen Gang, while the truth seekers should be called The Turbine Fans, because of their efforts at clearing away the smoke and mirrors being thrust upon everyone.
I didn't join their yahoo group, (I belong to too many serious groups in Yahoo to consider one of very low to No value), but did note the large number of members the site indicates. I rather suspect many, if not Most, are people that only joined to see the so-called thousands of documents they claim they have, since they won't reveal them to the public. Once the piles of clouds were viewed, most of the new members never went back.
Also think the BBAM made to many trips in the Yellow Submarine and got soggy brained!  Cheesy

Perhaps, this link to another CW Board (where Longley was banned, also) may explain some of his shenanagins..

His shenanagins also include asking his BBAM members to "come join in the fray" as he starts them on various boards, to post insulting messages "then leave".
It goes further, and gets very ugly, when he lifts and posts names and email addresses of those who dissagree with him, on sites other than Civil War interests, and asks members there to "flood their mailboxes" in his behalf.
All of which can be verified by copies of the messages that have been saved by those involved.
Ann, I am truly sorry that your board has been one of many that has been disrespected by such shenanagins, but now it can get back to being the great information site it was intended, by you, to be.
