Hi how many sea battle was the in the war,and what was the name on the boots that was in it.

Yes, that's a good question. I have no idea how many naval engagements that actually took place during the civil war. I know of two that stand out in my mind: the Merrimack vs. the Monitor, which ended in a draw; and the Kearsarge vs CSS Alabama off the coast of Cherbourg France, which sank the Alabama. Both are very historic battles in the annals of US Naval history.
