Just an interesting quote I found today concerning General Grant. Interesting how he views where our liberties are anchored as did the founding fathers of our nation. JMHO.

American Minute with Bill Federer
July 25th

Ulysses S. Grant was commissioned this day, July 25, 1866, as General of the Army, being the first officer to hold that rank. His courageous
victories during the Civil War catapulted him into national prominence and
in 1868, he was elected America's eighteenth President. To the Editor of the Sunday School Times in Philadelphia, President Ulysses S. Grant wrote: "Your favor of...asking a message from me to the...youth of the United States...is this morning received. My advice to Sunday schools, no matter what their denomination, is: Hold fast to the Bible as the sheet anchor of your liberties."
