Dear Father I take my pen in hand to rite you a few lines to let you know that I am well and I hope these few lines may find you all enjoying the same good blessings.  I havent mutch to rite at this time but as I had a good chance I thot I would rite a few lines.  I want you to send me a good woolen pare of pants and a good piece of hard soap and some thread and a couple of needles.  You can send them in my box when you send my provisions to them selves like you done before.  times is quiet at this time so I will close as the male is just about to start so nothing more only rite soon.

I believe I have about 18 letters from him.  If you wish I will combine them and put in two at a time to save space.

Oh, and it looks like you have fixed it so that I don't have to contend with that burgandy background.  THANK YOU!!
