No New Posts Naval Operations - Union and Confederate
Naval ops, both fresh water and oceanic, played a major role in the war, from bringing in supplies from offshore, to the North's taking and controlling inland waterways, to the South's lifelines of commerce raiders, blockade runners, revenue cutters and privateers on the open seas. Post any info you have on this important topic.

No New Posts Civil War Prisons and POW's : North and South
Discuss the prisoner of war situation, and the prisons themselves, both north and south; the men who ran them, those who lived within their confines, the living conditions, sanitation, shelter, deaths etc; a very important and much neglected topic.

No New Posts The "What if" category.
Here's the place for you to put the scenario together that would change the course and the outcome of a battle, or, the war itself. "If they had only done (.......), then the whole campaign would have been successful." Speculate, conjecture, and hypothesize to achieve the results that would have worked for your side, or defeated the other side.
