You left out Robert Smalls, the black hero that seized a ship and navigated it over to the Yankees, and later became a member of the United States Congress. And the many black men that remained at home and "cared for" the white women, while the Rebels were at war. Myself and others have written a great deal about this, and will be publishing much more about it in a book that we will be publishing in August. Look for it on all major newsstands, pal.
