Federal City Brass Band

This is one of the best regimental brass bands in business today here in the USA, the Federal City Brass Band, as the group enters the National Cemetery at Gettysburg National Military Park for the annual observance of Remembrance Day. Their instruments are original ones, not reproductions.

Soldiers Buried In Ball's Bluff

There are 54 Union soldiers buried in 25 graves in a walled cemetery in the middle of the Ball's Bluff battlefield. After the battle, most of the Union dead were buried in shallow graves near this site. Confederate dead were moved to Leesburg. By 1865, it was too late to identify the bodies, so a cemetery was established on the battlefield.
