JUDAH, Benjamin Phillip, born 1811, Christiansted, St.Croix, Denmark

His parents was English. Did study at Yale and New Orleans. Attorney in New Orleans. Became Supreme Court Attorney in 1848. Senator for Louisiana in 1852, re-elected in 1857. Became a member of the Confederate Government in 1861, and served as Attorney-General and Secretary of War.But, but spendt most of his service as Secretary of State until 1865.
He is known as "The Brain of the Confederacy".
